Parents subscribe from their free parent dashboard. Your subscription covers your children — they don't need their own payment method. Choose Parent Basic for 1 child or Parent Family for up to 4.
Can I try before I buy?
Take our free reading assessment to discover your reading level — no account needed. Parent plans include a 7-day free trial. Teacher Pro includes a 30-day free trial. Cancel anytime during the trial at no charge.
What's the difference between Basic and Family?
Parent Basic covers 1 child for $7.99/mo ($69.99/yr). Parent Family covers up to 4 children for $11.99/mo ($99.99/yr). Both include the same features and a 7-day free trial — Family is just for bigger families.
What about 5+ children?
Start with the Family plan, and we'll add just $3/mo ($30/yr) for each child beyond 4. So a family with 6 children would pay $17.99/mo ($159.99/yr).
How does the teacher free trial work?
Teachers get a 30-day free trial of Teacher Pro with payment info upfront. After 30 days it auto-renews at $9.99/mo or $79.99/yr. Cancel anytime during the trial at no charge. Teacher Pro supports up to 35 students across unlimited classrooms.
Do you offer school or district pricing?
Yes. Schools and small districts pay $15/student/year (100-499 students). Larger districts get volume discounts: $12/student for 500-1,999 students and $10/student for 2,000+. Teachers needing more than 35 students should ask their school about an enterprise license. Contact us at the enterprise page.
Is NowIRead COPPA compliant?
Yes. For students under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before account creation. All data is encrypted and we follow strict privacy standards.
